3hrs, half day walking tour
If you have been to Venice before or if it is your first time and you have two or three days to spend, this tour provides a great overview on a large section of Venice within the two districts of San Polo and Dorsoduro on the right side of the Grand Canal.
In San Polo the itinerary will unfold through the old quarter of Rialto, the large open space of campo San Polo to reach the last two important buildings in the area, the school of St. Roch and the huge Franciscan Frari church.
Entering next in Dorsoduro the walk continues through campo Santa Margherita, campo San Barnaba and from there the imposing and grand Rezzonico palace. Getting to end of our walk will reach the broad Giudecca canal, passing-by an old gondola yard and getting finally to the merging point of the city’s main canals nearby the church of santa Maria della Salute.
In the tour will enter and visit one of these two buildings, the Frari church home of some of the greatest art features in town or the monumental Rezzonico Palace, one of the few open to the public in Venice.
